About Maria Gentry, D.O.

Dr. Gentry is An osteopathic physician who is board-certified in family practice/osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Gentry is a 1999 graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Gentry completed her internship in Trenton, Michigan, at Riverside Osteopathic Hospital and at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Her residency training was Family Practice with a special emphasis in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Dr. Gentry employs all osteopathic modalities in her practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine but has found most success with subtle techniques such as myofascial release and cranial manipulation. She is experienced and qualified in treating all age groups, including newborns.

Her specific areas of interest include immediate postpartum treatments to facilitate a quick return to normal structure and function and treatment of trauma strain induced both accidentally and post-surgically. Dr. Gentry is thrilled to be bringing this specialized type of medical practice to Central New York. It has become clear to her in her work at the local Urgent Care centers that there is much unnecessary pain and dis-ease plaguing the region. She hopes to have the opportunity to alleviate these afflictions.
